An opportunity to challenge perceptions about living with a long term condition

We The Curious is planning to produce a film that tackles misperceptions that people have of those living with long term conditions or illness and are looking for people to take part.

We’re making a film for Bristol’s science centre We The Curious that aims to challenge people’s perceptions of illness by sharing personal stories. The film will be part of a new exhibition ‘Project What If?’ (opening later in 2020).

Participants in our film will raise awareness and help others understand more about their condition.  We want to encourage people to rethink how they judge others and what they may assume about someone else’s health, helping them to understand that we all have different perceptions of illness.

We’re looking for four people who are happy to share their stories of a long-term illness or condition on camera, in a studio environment. We’re also looking for 8-10 people to be part of the supporting cast – taking part in filming, but in a non-speaking capacity.

The filming will take place in a studio in central Bristol across one day.
All out-of-pocket expenses will be paid, plus a small fee to cover the participants time.
